Summary
The Assistant Media Planner will support the planning, buying, executing, and reporting of paid media campaigns. This role provides the opportunity to work across several clients in both B2B and B2C industries as part of a fully integrated media team and agency. The core focus will be on digital media, but the ideal candidate will also have an understanding of traditional media (TV, Radio, and OOH) for cross-media campaigns.
Responsibilities
Media Planning, Buying, and Management
Work with Media Supervisors and Media Planners to develop strategies and media plan recommendations
Participate in sending RFP’s to media partners, review proposals, analyze and negotiate partners and programming
Support development of media recommendation and present to clients
Execute media plans by managing insertion orders, gathering creative specs, and managing quality assurance
Day-to-day management of media plans including budget oversight, campaign performance and invoice reconciliation
Work closely with the client leadership team handling client requests and questions
Collaborating with social media team on paid social strategies
Digital Trafficking
Load campaign details and creative assets into third party ad serving tool DoubleClick (DCM) - Now Google Marketing Platform
Load keywords and ad copy into Google Adwords
Set up tracking and Q/A
Reporting and Optimization
Pull campaign performance data for client reporting and implement into client presentations
Analyze performance data and identify changes to make within a campaign to improve performance
Assist in presenting reports to clients
Experience
Bachelor’s degree
1+ years experience working on digital media campaigns or relevant internship experience at an agency or as part of an internal department
Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint/Keynote
Experience with the following tools preferred:
Third Party Ad Serving Tools:
DoubleClick Campaign Manager (DCM), Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Nielsen Planning Tools: @ Plan, Strata or similar program, Media Tools/SQAD
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
